BONES, Jack Stuart Sr.
BONES, Jack Stuart Sr. Born Nov. 1, 1919 Littlerock, Calif., passed away May 9, 2016, Summit Valley, Calif. Jack grew up in Littlerock, lived in the Antelope Valley for 85 years. He followed his father into growing peaches and pears in Littlerock. Jack also bought a small propane company called Western Star in the early 1950's. Over the years he turned it into a very successful business with hundreds of customers. He was an excellent boss and had numerous loyal employees over the years. He joined the L.A. County Sheriffs Dept. in 1942 as a reserve deputy. He eventually rose to the position of Chief of Staff of the Mounted Posse and served for over 40 years. He gave thousands of hours to his community both as a deputy, a member of the school board, and many other community organizations. Jack was a people person. He made and kept friends for life and would help anyone in need. He also had a way with animals, as witnessed by the number of loving and loyal horses and dogs he owned over his lifetime. Jack is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Judy, grandchildren John, Becky, Shelly, Michael. A viewing will be held at Joshua Mortuary 3150 E. Palmdale Blvd. on Sat. May 21, at 9:00 am - 10:00am, a service from 10: 00 am - 11: 00 am. A burial to follow at Desert Lawn, 2200 E. Ave S, Palmdale, California.
