BOTTONE, Jr., Michael Anthony
BOTTONE, Jr., Michael Anthony Loving husband, and devoted father, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Lancaster, Calif. at the age of 66. He was born on January 16, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Michael Sr. and Lena Bottone. Michael Jr. is survived by his wife Lucia of 42 years; son Michael III, and grandson Favian. He is also survived by his mother, Lena Bottone; mother-in- law Graziella Basso Randazzo; three sisters and their husbands, Dianne McCall (Lon), Renee Norwood (Todd), and Annette Joyce (Joe). Michael Jr. grew up in the San Fernando Valley, attended Grover Cleveland High School, and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam before to moving to the Antelope Valley where he lived for 38 years. He held a Masters from the University of Phoenix that was achieved while working full time, and he celebrated that occasion with his friends and family at his side. He worked for the MTA, retiring after 30+ years as the Director of Equipment Engineering. He enjoyed golf and fishing, was quite the sports enthusiast, watching as many games as his Direct TV could bring in. Besides his family, Michael had a passion for cars, namely the Corvette and was an active member of the Antelope Valley Corvette Club, which he often shared many memories of. He also loved spending time with his grandson, sharing with him his brilliant knowledge of all things automotive, and athletics. A memorial service will be held at 1pm. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster
