She attended AV College for one semester and apprenticed to the Executive Chef at the former Antelope Valley Inn. She was a caregiver for more than 30 years. She treasured her BINGO buddies and her 'old folks'. Her wish was for cremation and an urn to be placed with her Grandmother Hazel Wilson at the Lancaster Cemetery and another with her father at Lakewood Memorial Gardens Rossville, Ga. Karen Rene' was in love with life and all of God's creatures. She devoted her life to comforting those hurting and to easing their pain. Remember her by 'doing a Karen Rene' today' and help someone who needs a friend; hug the lonely; encourage someone who is flagging to uplift their spirit; love your family unconditionally and let them know how much they mean to you. She was without malice. Try it for just one day and you'll spread the joy of Karen Rene'. Please come celebrate her life on March 29, 2014 at noon at Grace Chapel, 44648 15th Street West in Lancaster. Visitation and reception following in the church hall.
