While the 5-year battle of breast cancer was surely difficult, in her famous feisty spirit, she never allowed that cancer to get the best of her. Roz is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Kehoe; father and mother, Phillip and Rose Maximenko; sister, Lynn Costa; brother, Donny Maximenko; and brother in-law, Art Kehoe. She is survived by her sons, Joe, Rick, Erik, and spouses; daughter, Annamarie Johnson and her husband Ray; sister in-law, Carmen; nieces, nephews and grandchildren including: Keri, Kristi, Dylan, Lucas, Alek, Bliss, Carolina and Christina; great-grandchildren, Giulianna and Andrew. Roz was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She especially enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, and playing poker. Over the years, Roz was blessed with joy through caring for her family and she thoroughly enjoyed following her children and grandchildren's sporting careers! Roz happily served her community through voluntary bookkeeping positions in several bowling leagues as President, Vice President and Secretary. She also found time for other hobbies, which included the stock market, Bunco and gardening. Roz's journey in building her loving family began in Burbank, Calif.; it was the early 50's when she met her husband Joe, working as a bookkeeper for P.A.C. Roz was a devoted housewife for nearly 58 years and was quite passionate about her role as a Mother. In 1990 Joe and Roz retired to Stallion Springs full-time and then began to focus on the beautiful season of grandparenthood. Roz will be remembered by her family and friends for her lively spirit and sass. Roz was 'sharp as a tack' and supportive of her loved ones through and through. She will surely never be forgotten and her spunky and witty ways will forever leave her family and friends with great memories and smiles! The Mass of Christian Burial for Roselyn 'Roz' Kehoe, will be held at 9 am, Friday January 24, 2014 at Saint Malachy Catholic Church and interment will follow at Tehachapi Eastside Cemetery.
