ADELMAN, Alice
ADELMAN, Alice 93, 1920 -2013 Alice was a piano teacher in Lancaster, Palmdale, and Quartz Hill from 1960 through 2004. She had many students that have become professional musicians Alice was born in Vienna, Austria and left in 1938 as Hitler seized control of Austria. She married Ben Adelman in Los Angeles at the beginning of World War II. Alice had one son, Dr. Steve Adelman, a psychologist in Brumley, Mo. Alice taught piano and worked in an Alzheimer's Unit as a volunteer for many years. In 2004 she moved to Brumley, Mo. to spend her last years with her son and his wife Terri. She taught piano up until four months prior to her death on September 30, 2013. She was loved by everyone and will be remembered by all for her kindness, graciousness and self-determination. She loved her students and they loved her. She is survived by her son, her two grandsons Sean and Alex Adelman and seven great grandchildren.
