Obituary Notices and Memorials

AGUILA, John Sr.
AGUILA, John Sr. Born February 7, 1924, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Passed away June 30, 2013, at his home in Lancaster, Calif. Widowed just 3 months earlier, to the day, from the love of his life of 67 years, Lola. He is survived by his daughters Emma Dominguez, Lolita Wedertz and son John Aguila Jr. Also 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. John was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He earned his living and raised our family as an auto mech- anic, later working as a fleet mechanic for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, before retirement. He loved being with family, listening to music, dancing and eating Puerto Rican Cuisine which only his wife could cook correctly. He sorely missed her. He was an integral part of how we were all raised. A job well done. Thank you so much for guiding our lives and all your love. We all miss you very much and send our love to you and mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hoffmann Hospice, Palmdale.
