McADAM III, William Bill
McADAM III, William "Bill" devoted husband and father, passed away April 16, 2013, in his home, in Placentia Calif. He fought a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. All his immediate family and friends were there. Bill was the son of Bill McAdam II, long time resident of the of the pioneering McAdam family. W.J. McAdam park in Palmdale is named after Bill's grandfather. Bill was born in Chico April 8, 1947, and was a 25 year resident of the Valley. He attended the local grammar school, AVHS and AVJC before joining the NationalGuard in 1966, and served in Vietnam. After serving his country, he returned and married Susan White, another long time resident family of the Valley. Bill worked for his father for a period of time at the local Mazda dealershipand then went on to become a Regional Manager for Mazda of America, where he worked for 35 years until retirement. He is survived by his wife Susan "White" McAdam, son Bill McAdam IV and wife Kimi, along with youngest son Mike McAdam. He also had two sisters, Chris Boudreau and Nancy Woods.
