ANLEY, Frank Earnest
ANLEY, Frank Earnest Died peacefully in his sleep on January 12, 2013, at the age of 94. He was born in Paddington, London, England on December 31, 1918. Frank (aka Tom) had a full and interesting working life spanning almost 80 years since he joined the Royal Air Force as a boy entrant at the age of 15. He survived World War II, seeing active service in the Western Desert and other areas of North Africa and the Middle East. After the war he joined British European Airways (BEA) and became the Head of the Engineering Training Department and took early retirement when BEA was merged with British Overseas Airway Corporation (BOAC) in 1974. He emigrated with his family in the mid 1970s and was the owner and manager of General Water Services Company (GWS) until he retired for the second time at the age of 92. He was well read, and kept abreast of world affairs and the latest technologies, and thoroughly enjoyed the California sun. He is survived by his daughter Josephine, son Philip and adopted daughters Irene and Cindy. Neptune Society service in June.
