McDonald, James F., Jr.
McDONALD, James F. Jr. Was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 17, 1932, to James, Sr. and Adah McDonald. His permanent home was Concord, N.H. He was faithful Husband, Father and Grandfather who truly demonstrated daily his faith in every area of his life. He held his beliefs with conviction. He had a great sense of humor, was a fantastic cook and had a contagious smile. Jim will be remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife of 53 years Peggy, son Michael, and daughters Peggy, Heather, Ellen and Sara; and 10 grandchildren in addition to 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild along with many beloved friends. The viewing service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Halley Olsen Murphy on Date Avenue in Lancaster. A celebration of life Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church in Lancaster, immediately followed by Military Honors at Good Shepherd Cemetery on 70th St. West, between Avenues L & K. The family of Mr. James F. McDonald, Jr. ask that in lieu of flowers, remembrances to him be made to Paraclete High School James (Jim) McDonald Jr. Scholarship Fund (make checks payable to Paraclete High School) or the Antelope Valley College James (Jim) McDonald Jr. Scholarship Fund (make check payable to AVC Foundation).
