BOGUE, CAROL DIANNE
BOGUE, Carol Dianne March 12, 1944-Oct. 17, 2012 Our beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend passed peacefully away at her home in Oxnard on October 17, 2012, after a sudden illness. Carol was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Burbank, and graduated from John Burroughs High School. Carol went on to graduate from Cal State Northridge and served there for several years as the Assistant Director of the Graduate School of Business. She was a multi-talented person who filled all the roles of counselor, teacher, advisor, and friend, encouraging them in their lives, and providing needed assistance along the way in reaching their goals. Carol and her husband Rod spent over 24 years together. Stargazing at Haleakala, touring the wine country, visiting Hearst Castle, and sharing Gazpacho in Spain are some of the pleasant memories of their time spent together. Carol took special joy in family gatherings and finding the perfect gifts, especially for her grandchildren. Their family of four cats; 'Murphy Brown Cat,' 'Toby Joe,' 'Sir Scamper Doodle,' and 'Sasha Lynn,' have also provided many years of companionship and enjoyment. Carol will be sorely missed. Her affinity for family will be carried on through her loved ones. Her inner strength, loving nature and generous spirit has been an example and will be an enduring memory. The world is much less for her passing. She will always be the 'Gold Standard' to all who knew her. Interment will be private. A celebration of Carols life will be held at a later date. Please contact Rod at c.bogue@verizon.net for details. Throughout her life Carol was involved in womens education programs.
