RISLEY, Margaret (Peggy)
RISLEY, Margaret A. (Peggy) Passed away peacefully on July 23, 2012. Peggy shared a genuine love for life. She enjoyed games, travel, dance and the company of family and friends. She was born March 5, 1917, to Joseph and Myrtle Leslie of Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1925, she moved to Montrose, California, where she lived until she came to reside in the Antelope Valley in 1954. She was a member of the Emblem Club, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, White Shrine, and many non-profit organizations. She taught dance at Caravan Dance Studio and formed the Boogie Woogie Mamas in 1987. Peggy is survived by her son, Lynn Donaldson (Peggy) of Ventura, Calif.; daughter, Joyce Pearson (Cal) of Antelope Valley; son Tracy Risley of San Diego, Calif., six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild who completes five generations. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a favorite charity. A private service will be held at Forest Lawn to commemorate her long life of sweetness, kindness and love.
