BELLASPERANZA, Dominic Joseph
BELLASPERANZA, Dominic Joseph 85, a long time resident of the Antelope Valley, born in Brooklyn, New York on Sept. 6, 1926, passed away Wed. June 13, 2012, at 10:29 a.m. in Fairhope, Alabama. He had been living there since 2006. Dominic served in the Korean War S.A.C, and came to the Antelope Valley in 1956, where he lived and worked. A Graduate Facilities Engineer, retired from Rockwell International 36 years. Also worked at Boeing, NASA Flight Research Center at Edwards an when at Rockwell he worked on the space shuttle, and later received his Doctorate of Engineering degree. Dominic also served as a volunteer on the Antelope Valley Sheriffs Reserve for over 30 years. Was known to many friends by the name of Bella. He was a brilliant Design Engineer and designed many restaurants and hotels in the Antelope Valley, his favorite being Barones Italian Restaurant. Dominic ran for City Coucilman of Palmdale in support of Senior Citizens issues, which was very important to him. Dominic is survived by a large family, sister Teresa Ayanapolis and daughter Brenda Curreri and family, 4 Children, daughter GloriaYean (Curt) Davis, Susan ( Ray) Bolton, son Joesph A. Bellasperanza (Sherri) and daughter Dana (Gene) Franklin, 8 Grandchildren LaVonne Bolton (John) Teixeira and Gregory Bolton Sr. (Faith), Dominc Bellasperanza II, Teresa and Andrew Bellasperanza, Scott (Teisha) Brickey, Jonathan Conrad and Fiance Nicole, Ashley Conrad and 9 great-grandchildren Michael, Kyle, Nicholas Teixeira, Autumn Robertson, Greg Jr., Marissah, Reace Bolton, Dominic Brickey, and Sophia Mora. Viewing Services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012, between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Wolfe Bay View Funeral Home in Fairhope, Alabama. Grave site Services to follow at 2 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensicola, Florida. There also will be a Mass held by his sister Terry on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's church in Palm Springs.
