BLAKELY, Denice 'Dee' Jean (Burch) Born May 6, 1952, in Long Beach, Calif., entered Heaven on March 16, 2012, in Palmdale, Calif. Dee grew up in Orange County and the San Fernando Valley, Calif., and lived in the AV since 1986. She attended James Monroe H.S. in Sepulveda, Calif. Dees working career included 5 years in banking, 5 years in restaurant management, 10 years with the U.S. Postal Service, and 10 years as the Office Manager for her husbands financial services firm. She was a faithful, loving friend to her high school sweetheart for 45 years, a loving and doting mother for 33 years, and spent the last 5 years as the Worlds Best Nana. Dees love and devotion were to her grandkids, family, and church family. Many years of love were given as companion and care provider to her mother, Joy. Dee enjoyed hosting family parties (lots of them!); she was a skilled artist in many media, and a proficient musician in flute and the church handbell choir. She shaped a life and a legacy of love and giving that will penetrate many lives for generations to come. Dee is survived by her husband Jerry Sterling Blakely, daughters Jeryn Leann Blakely and Kameryn Jean (Blakely) Custodio, son-in-law Joel Custodio, grandchildren Jude Vincent Custodio (age 5), Levi Sterling Custodio (age 2), and Ella Joelie Custodio (age 10 months), brother Kenneth 'Bud' Lee Burch and family, sister Michelle Leann (Burch) Girion and family, and her mother Ivalee Joy Burch. She is preceded in death by her father Howard Leland Burch, Jr., maternal grandparents Kenneth Lee and Lois Arvilla (Yenore) Cook, Grandpa Bill Klotz, and paternal grandparents Howard Leland and Helen Marie (Duncan) Burch, Sr.Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Grace Chapel, 44648 15th St. West Lancaster, CA 93534.Arrangements entrusted to Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary.In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to Grace Chapel.
