In Lieu of Services ~ Letters of Love Barbara Revels (daughter) I have always wanted to say, someday in remembrance, I felt my mother was one of the best people I ever knew. She was so much to so many. People that knew Mom grew to treasure her genuine warmth, charity and wonderful cheery wit. She always kept our home warm with love and laughter. She was my best friend for as long as I can remember. Ive always been so proud of you mom, you are one of a kind. Roman Revels (grandson) My Grandma, she was a short and sassy woman and that's what I loved about her. I will cherish her always and all the good times we had, she will never be forgotten. Sheila Revels (granddaughter-in- law) Nana Ruby, a precious treasure from God, so thankful to have her as long as we did. Her love will live in our hearts forever. 'to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord' 2nd Corinthians 5:8. See you in the Heavenlies. Dezaree Revels (great-granddaughter)There is no one like you, and Im sure there will never be. You were one of a kind, right down to your love for me. A day wont go by without you on my mind, in my spirit, soul and my heart. Even though you are gone well never be apart. I love you Nana Ruby! Kathy Hayes (daughter husband Lee) Mom was a true homemaker, dedicated to family, with dad, raised their kids with lots of love. Our home was one other kids liked to visit because of her. Always a comic, with a mischievous grin while pulling one over on you. Her idea of swearing and favorite saying 'good Lord love a constipated duck' we were blessed to have her and will remember her with love. Cassandra Hayes Medlin (Stinkweed) (granddaughter) (husband Kent, great-granddaughters Alyssa and Charlise) To sum up grandma 'the coolest ever' Always with you on the same page, no matter your age. Could be cute and sarcastic at the same time with the ability to mock anyone without hurting their feelings all the while bringing the room to tears with laughter. A matriarch of our rough-and-tumble clan she encouraged, taught, protected and defended and entertained. I have countless memories of her ornery little smile and wonderful laugh. She definitely left her mark! Curtis Hayes (grandson) (wife Bessie) She was a wonderful loving person and a great grandma. We will always be proud of the poem she did just for us. We will miss you so grandma. Note: she wrote many endearing poems over the years, for family members, friends, various children, health care nurse, doctors, plus yearly Christmas poems. Michael Quam (grandson) (wife Lauren, great-grandchildren Andrew and Brooke) Grandma Ruby, truly my favorite person who always made me laugh, feel safe and loved, even from far away. She will continue to do so forever. Jennifer (Quam) Johnson (granddaughter) (great-grandson Hunter, Fiance Michael McGrath and family) Grandma will be missed, my memories are life lasting. When little I enjoyed trips to the beach, card games and special dinners including her famous enchiladas. We will treasure knowing one of the most remarkable women ever. Grandma no one could replace the hole that is vacant in our hearts. Peggy Andrews (sister) We were close though we lived far apart. Didnt get to visit nearly enough but we sure had fun when together. We will miss her dearly.
