LYNCH, JAMES M. JIM
LYNCH, James M. (Jim) Born Feb. 11, 1939. Passed away on July 23, 2011, after a brief illness. Jim was born in Pittston, Pa., where he attended Pittston H.S. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving 4 years in the Strategic Air Command. He and his wife, the former Judith LaNunziata of West Pittston, Pa., celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 8, 2011, with family and friends. Following their anniversary, the couple vacationed in Las Vegas where Jim worked for many years in the golf industry before retiring from Desert Rose Resort. Jim also worked at the Antelope Valley Country Club. He not only worked in the golf industry, golf was his passion, playing with his sons, son-in-law and grandsons at every opportunity. Jim was a Past Grand Knight of Columbus third degree Council 3601 in Canoga Park for 50 years, Past Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree Knights for over 42 years and Color Corp Captain. In addition to his wife, Judith, Jim is survived by his three children, James Lynch, Jr., and his wife Barbara, Michele Haman and her husband Jeff and Frank Lynch and his wife Michelle. He leaves behind two sisters. Jim was the proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Fr. Junipero Serra Parish, 42121 No. 60th St. W., Lancaster. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
