PACK, FRANCIS A.
PACK, Francis A. Dec. 3, 1922 ~ June 8 2011 Born in West Virginia on December 3, 1922, in a coal mining town she called Old Number Nine (Handley). Francis was born to John and Suzanna Konior who immigrated to the United States from Poland in 1911, on the S.S. George Washington. She was the youngest of eight children. Francis came to California in 1945, to work in the ship yards. In 1947, she met her husband, Arlie, outside the local corner market. He followed her home and from that day forward they were never apart. Francis passed away peacefully in her Lancaster home at the tender age of 88. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Arlie after 62 years of marriage. Frannie and Art were owners of C&D Refrigeration, TuPacks Liquor and Pearland Market. Francis was a longtime member of the Eastern Stars. Francis was an avid golfer and loved to play the card game '21' at her favorite casino in Laughlin, Nevada. She leaves behind her daughter Deborah Seelye of Lancaster, son, Ralph Pack of North Carolina, daughter, Jane Hoffman of Arizona, granddaughter, Vanessa Fisbeck (Kevin) of Palmdale, grandsons, Shane and Ryan Fairchild of Arizona, grandson, John Pack (Lindsey) of West Virginia, grandson, Shawn Richter of San Diego, California, granddaughter, Rachel Pack (Gary Combs) of West Virginia, grandson, Colby Hoffman of Arizona, great-grandchildren, Isabella Fairchild of Lancaster, Lydia Combs of West Virginia, Savanna Richter of San Diego, California and Natalie Cecelia Pack of West Virginia. Frannie now joins the waiting arms of her beloved husband. May she be at peace forever. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for the loving around the clock care they provided Frannie in her final days. No services are planned.
