BILLYZONE, Rev. Alfred Sr. Born December 27, 1926, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Passed away April 30, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up and attended school in Houma, Louisiana. Served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1948, where he was pastor of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, since 1972, and was a custodian at Eastside School. His hobbies included being a handyman and fishing. Survived by his wife Euralary (Jones), sons Alfred (Mary) Billyzone Jr., of Lancaster, Calif., Cona (Tina) Billyzone of Ellsworth AFB, S.D., daughters Cheryl Billyzone of Lancaster, Calif., Terrie (Gilbert) Davis of Lancaster, Calif., Beverly (Bill) Smith of Lancaster, Calif., 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Fannie (Self) Billyzone, son Nathan and brother Earl. Viewing will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Growing Valley Baptist Church, Lancaster.
