ESTILL, STANLEY CURTIS
ESTILL, Stanley Curtis Nov. 17, 1916 ~ Jan. 1, 2011 Stan Estill, 94, passed away on Jan. 1, 2011. He was born Nov. 17, 1916, in Sherburnville, Indiana. The oldest child of four born to Henry Omer and Hazel Estill. Stan joined the Army Air Corp and was a tail gunner on a B-17 during World War II flying 28 combat missions over Europe and was also involved in flying the food drops later on. Upon leaving the Army Air Corp Stan married Aline Johnson and they raised her daughter Glenda who resides in Victor, Montana. They resided in Pearblossom and were married until her death in 1972. Aline was the pastor at the Pearblossom Foursquare Church where Stan was an active member all his life. Stan played integral roles in building the existing church. Stan was involved in many functions of the church and missionary work. Stan married Clara Schmidt in September 1981, and they resided in Pearblossom later relocating to Llano. Upon Stan's retirement from Lockheed he and Clara traveled all over the United States visiting friends and relatives. Stan always stayed busy with Carpentry and cement working. Clara preceded Stan in passing in Dec. 2009. Stan is survived by daughter Glenda Ioder of Victor, Mont., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 1 to 11 a.m., Thursday Jan. 6, 2011, with chapel services starting at 11 a.m. Burial to follow all at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. www.joshuamortuary.com
