HOLEXA, LUCINDA CINDY
HOLEXA, Lucinda 'Cindy' Cindy was taken to Heaven on the wings of angels on November 7, 2010, after a quick but fierce battle with cancer. Born in San Diego to Don and Darlene Mogensen on October 7, 1953. She married her childhood sweetheart, Keith in 1972. Cindy is survived by her husband of 38 years Keith, children Stacy and Craig, her loving father Donald and sister Sheri, grandchildren Tristan, Kieran, Lizzy, Dylan, Autumn and Devin, son-in-law Ken, daughter-in-law Deann, brother-in- laws Phil, Ken and Eddie, sister-in- laws Nancy and Dona, mother-in-law Nadine and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene and father-in-law LeRoy. Cindy was employed by Sperlings Furniture for 37 years who became like-family to her. Friends and family were everything to Cindy and she was many different things to many different people. Cindy and Keith were best friends who loved to go garage selling on Saturdays and spend time with their grandkids. She was a best-friend to Stacy, a mentor to Craig and the best big sister anyone could ask for to Sheri (and yes Cindy I did spill the milk), and her daddy's little girl, he never left her side during her final fight. Cindy was a very giving, selfless person. She had a very strong, outgoing, positive attitude on life. She lived by the phrase 'There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.' She was our ROCK and the foundation of her family and she will be deeply missed by ALL. A celebration of her life will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at our home. For information please call 661-992-8235. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in honor of Cindy to the American Cancer Society.
