TANGEN, LEAH MARIE (DAVSON, EV
TANGEN, Leah Marie (Davison, Evans) Born April 1, 1917, in Hutchinson, Kansas. Passed away Nov. 1, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. She was raised in Goodson, Mo., and Moorpark, Calif., where she attended Moorpark High School. She has lived in the Antelope Valley for 16 years. Prior to that she lived in Beaverama Lake near Goshen and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Raised chickens with husband Gordon in that area, she also worked as a nurses aide and later as a School cafeteria worker. Loved to read and work jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Antelope Valley Genealogical Society. She influenced everyone with her sweet and loving spirit an giving heart. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by husbands Gilbert Lesley Evans and Gordon Leo Kenneth Tangen; son Gilbert Lee Evans; grandsons William A. Ford IV; great-grandsons Joshua and Robert Young, brothers Perry, Oscar, Glenn, Lindy, Jesse, Dean, Gerald, and Bill Davison; sisters Gussie Eads and Dorothy Stangle. Survivors include daughters Nadine Ford of Lancaster and Myrna Allen of Manitou, Okla.; grandsons Kevin G. Young of Hampton, Ga., and Keith L. Young of Lancaster, Rick and Roger Derryberry, Jim and Gilbert Allen of Oklahoma, granddaughters Karen King of Texas, Donna Wallace of Oklahoma, Deb Martinez of Lancaster, Deanna McFarland of Moreno Valley, Doreen Forbush and Rose Cristales of Riverside, Kathy Dickerson of Palmdale, Rita Taggart of Redbluff, granddaughter- in-law, Lesley Ford of San Marino, 50 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great- grandchildren and one great-great- great-granddaughter; numerous very special nieces and nephews and their children. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., all at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster.
