ELLIOTT , MALINDA (Lynn) ANNE
ELLIOTT, Malinda (Lynn) Anne Born November 1, 1944, in Berwyn, Illinois, to John and Elsie Schieve. Passed away Friday, October 8, 2010, unexpectedly at home of heart failure. She was a three year survivor of cancer and was in remission. Lynn was employed by Occidental Life Insurance in Chicago, transferring to Los Angeles where she met her husband to be, Bill. They were married on February 8, 1969. Lynn spent 27 years as a claims supervisor for United Agricultural Benefit Trust in the Comerce and Oxnard office. She lived for 32 years in the San Fernando Valley then Camarillo for 5 years and finally Palmdale for 9 where she worked mostly from home. Lynn is survived by husband Bill; sons, Robert and wife Keli, Kevin and wife Mary Sue; grandchildren, Hannes, Oliver, Theodore. Extended family includes, deceased sister Mable Tarvids adult children, Allen and wife Paula, Nancy, Karen; sister, Marlene Stengle and her adult children, Mark and wife Cora Lee, Brian and wife Laura, Chris and wife Laura, Valarie; and sister, Mary Lou Sentesi and husband Herb and adult son, Chad Baker, cousins, Raymond Petter and wife Marilyn; Robert Petter and wife Marcia; Sharon Clark, sister-in-law, Bobbie Taylor and her adult son, Steve Williams and wife Kathy, brother-in-law, Keith Elliott and wife Janice and their adult son, Timothy Elliott and wife Stephanie. The family of Lynn offers their gratitude to Dr. Benjamin Paz and the City of Hope for extending her life for three years following cancer surgery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the City of Hope. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010, at St. Stephens of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1737 East Avenue R, Palmdale, 661-947-6451. A light lunch will follow the service. There will also be a 4 p.m., dinner at the family home. All are invited. You may email your condolences to cotv@sbcglobal.net.
