BRODISH, DOROTHY DOTTIE
BRODISH, Dorothy (Dottie) May 5, 1932 ~ April 26, 2010 Dottie was on born on May 5, 1932, in Lake Forest, Illinois and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 26, 2010. Her family moved to Lancaster, California in 1946. Dottie was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Frederick Brodish Sr. Also preceded in death by her mother Maybelle Mayand her father John Pitt. She is survived by daughter Vicki Sisco of Lancaster, daughter and son-in-law Avery and Mike Toker of Lancaster, son and daughter-in-law Frederick and Angela Brodish of Fresno daughter and son-in-law Valarie and Gregory Whicker of Lancaster. She is also survived by wonderful grandchildren Leslie Gardner, Lonnie Sisco, Ryan and Amy Toker, Cady, Chloe, Cameron and Claire Whicker and Elizabeth and Sophia Brodish and great-granddaughter Julia Toker, sister and brother-in-law Adrienne and Bill Millican of Lancaster, and sister and brother-in-law Mary and Duane Wainwright of Redding, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dottie was very involved with Our Saviors Lutheran Church for 48 years where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, played piano, was a member of the Alter Guild and womens prayer group. She loved Pastor Fuller, her church, and all of its members. Dottie worked at Mervyns for many years as a bookkeeper and auditor. Dottie loved to read and in her later years volunteered for Friends of the Library in Lancaster. She was quite the scrabble player and loved to play board games with family and friends. Dottie had a way of improving peoples day by sending greeting cards with short notes in the mail. Many people remember her for one of her cards. In her memory the family asks that you continue her spirit of kindness and card ministry by sending a card to someone to make their day. Services for Dottie will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church 1821 West Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster.
