PROPPS, KENNETH O.
Born February 28, 1937, in Charleston, West Virginia. Passed away March 18, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Maryetta 'Misty' Propps of 42 years, son, Kristian Propps, daughter, Melissa Propps Alvarado, grandchildren, Cameron and Keaton Propps, and Brianna and Justin Alvarado. He was preceded in death by grandson Dylan Propps. He left an extended family behind. Kenneth had 30 years of military PROPPS, Kenneth O. service. Hefirst served in the Air Force, followed by U.S. Army, then theCalifornia NationalGuard whichhe worked with them as arecruiter for 14 years, and 2 years as a guidance counselor at MEPS Los Angeles, Calif. He retired as an SFC in 1997, with a meritorious service award for enlisting over 2,100 new soldiers. Kenneths career also included JPL Multimedia library manager, and his last 2 yearsasagift shop clerk at Six Flags Magic Mountain. His hobbies included reading, cooking, computers and watching John Wayne films. Kenneth was known to family and friends as a Dad and Pops, and one whom loved The Lord. A Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2010, and a Funeral Service at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2010, both at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary. A private interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Paypal@fultimegranny@aol.com, all donations will be appreciated.
