GARRETT, JAMES WILLIAM
GARRETT, James William (Himmy) Beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Jim had been a lifelong resident of Lancaster who left us suddenly as the result of a traffic accident on December 13, 2009, at the age of 41. Jim was a graduate of Antelope High School class of 1986, earned his A.A. at AVC and was pridefully employed by NASA as a radar technician and thought the world of those he worked with. Jim was first and foremost known as a family man always including his wife and children in everything unfailingly. Jim was always willing to help a friend or do a favor for a neighbor or even a stranger. Jim was a talented musician an aptitude he shared with his father and passed onto his children. Jim and his mother both shared a flair for painting and we have been left with some beautiful and sometimes strange pieces in his collection. Intelligent, imaginative, and funny are just some of the descriptive words that can be used to describe Jim. He also had a deep love for his wide variety of exotic domesticated birds another commonality shared with members of his family. Jim is survived by his wife Theresa, sons Curtis, Cameron, Zane, Lucas, parents Dan and Wilda Garrett aunt Catherine Finch Aho and uncle Bill Aho, and numerous other family members, extended family, friends, and co-workers. His last act of selflessness was that he was a registered donor, may he live forever in our hearts and while he will be sorely missed he will 'never be forgotten'. Crematory arrangements entrusted by Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster. Services open to all that knew and loved him at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at The First Assembly of God in the Champion Center. 44514 North 20th Street West Lancaster, CA 93534.
