STREET, ROXIE JUNE ROUSCH
Roxie June Roush Street, 73 of Quartz Hill, Calif., passed away peacefully on December 9, 2009. Born in South Bend, Ind., on January 11, 1936, to the late John and Lucille Roush. She graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1954. She and Howard M. Street were married on June 11, 1955, in South Bend, Ind. She worked for many years at Otto & Sons Sporting Goods Store in Coldwater, Mich. In 2002, Roxie and Howard moved permanently to Quartz Hill, Calif. Roxie stayed busy traveling and sharing her time between her grand STREET, Roxie June Roush children in Coldwater, Mich., and California. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 1, in Coldwater, Mich., and Valley View Church of Nazarene in Quartz Hill, Calif. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Howard of Quartz Hill, Calif., son and daughter-law John and Renee Street of Bakersfield, Calif., son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Karen Street of Coldwater, Mich., daughter and son-in-law Lori and Brian Moore of Quartz Hill, Calif., and sister Peggy Ritschard of South Bend, Ind.; 8 grandchildren: Rachel, Michael, Benjamin, Jason, Riley, Wendy, Brandon, Sean and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves us with fond memories of her special holiday dinners, jams, legendary pies, and her special red velvet cake. Along with the memories with Roxie, include trips to the Florida Everglades, mushroom hunting in Mesick, Michigan, and many trips to the warm beaches of Southern California. Roxie will always be cherished in the hearts of her family. She may be gone, but she certainly isn't forgotten, and never will be. Services are private at the family's request. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Antelope Valley Hospital, Antelope Valley Care Center and Antelope Valley Hospice.
